Touching Palms is an arts initiative bringing people together to experiment across mediums and explore the intimate, often challenging elements of being human.

We create spaces – physical, digital, metaphorical - that prompt us to move away from the comfort zone of our usual conversations, to forge connections, come closer to our authentic selves, explore alternate realities, and move towards positive change, both as individuals and as a collective.

We care less about articulating neat viewpoints and instead touch on topics gently, leaving room for thoughts, feelings, and creative responses to unravel.

Our work is grounded in the belief that sustainable cultural shifts – towards a fairer society and more connected ways of living – cannot occur without intimate explorations of our own lives and how we have come to relate to ourselves and one another. In this way, it is both art and activism.

The output is open-ended – from film screenings, exhibitions and audio installations, to printed publications, immersive dinner parties and club nights.

Touching Palms is based in London and led by Anna May.

Anna works in many capcities: as an educator, facilitator, multidisciplinary artist and writer. She has experience in the mental health sector and founded The Student Grief Network, to soften the impact of loss in universities, in 2018.
